Privacy statement

We do not own your data and we will never sell it! We provide information that belongs to you, not us. We have created this privacy policy to explain how Trippple AS processes your data and your personal information.

The Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you provide to us when you visit one of Trippple AS's websites or use our services at trippple.no and help.trippple.no. If your platform is under a different web address or located on a corporate site, the information is still stored in Trippple AS's application and is subject to our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing this information.

1. Information we collect about you

We collect many types of information about visitors and/or users of our services. We collect this information either directly or when you provide it to us or automatically as you move through our website or application.

(a) We will collect and process your personal data when you register for a service/create an account, subscribe to a newsletter, provide feedback, fill out a survey, or send us a comment. When you order products or services on the website or application, you may also be asked to provide a payment card or other payment-related information. Depending on the activity, some of the information we request from you will require you to use the Service (such as creating an account) and some is voluntary. If you do not provide data that the activity in question requires, you will not be able to do the activity.

We also collect your unique Internet Protocol address (IP address). We use this to help diagnose problems with our servers and/or software, to administer our Services, and to gather demographic information.

(b) We may collect information that does not in itself identify individuals. Such information tells us about your equipment, browser actions, and what resources you use through our Services, such as operating system and browser type. We use Google Analytics and similar services, as described in our "Use of cookies", to help us provide better and more individually oriented services to users by allowing us to assess user patterns and customise our Services according to your individual wishes, and speed up your searches.

(c) When you use our Services, we automatically collect information about the type of device you use and the version of your operating system so that we can provide you with the best version of our application.

(d) When you contact us for support, we may collect additional information to resolve your issue, and may ask to link your Trippple user with your support user to help you more easily. If you choose not to link them here, we will still provide you with support.

(e) We are not a site targeting children or anyone under the age of 16. If you are a school using Trippple as a service for children under the age of 16, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, then you are responsible for obtaining the consent of each child's parent or guardian that you wish to participate in any of our Services.

2. Where we store data

By providing your personal data, you agree that data will be transferred, stored and processed outside your country of residence. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

3. How we use your information

We use information about you in the following ways:

  • To display content from our Services in an efficient manner for you and for the device you are using.
  • To provide you with information, products and services that you have requested from us or that we think may be of interest to you.
  • To fulfil the obligations of the agreements entered into between us and you, including for billing and collection.
  • If you pay for a course or subscription on a course platform with a payment card, we will forward the payment information to the correct company that processes the payment.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive parts of our Services when you choose to do so.
  • To contact you about our Services.
  • In any other way we can describe when you provide information or when we inform you of a new use of information about you.
  • To provide help for you and your course facilitator.

4. Sharing your information

We will only share your personal data with third parties in the ways described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell, trade, rent or share your information with others, except in the following ways:

(a) We provide and support some of our Services through contractual arrangements with service providers and other third parties. We and our service providers use your personal data to operate our website and provide the Services. For example, we need to pass your payment information to the bank that issued your card to confirm payment for products and services purchased on our website; and provide information about your order to third parties who help us fulfil your order.

(b) We will also share personal data in the following circumstances: (i) if required to do so by law enforcement authorities or to cooperate with a law enforcement agency's investigation; (ii) if we believe in good faith that we are required or authorised by law or legal process to do so; (iii) to protect our rights, reputation, property, or safety of ourselves or others; (iv) to defend or enforce our rights or obligations; (v) if the sharing is required by mandatory professional standards; (vi) to a third party where you have already authorised us to do so; or (vii) if it is our obligation to share your personal data to perform a contract or agreement that may exist between you and us, including this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Agreement. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

(c) In the event that Trippple AS decides to sell all of its shares or enter into a merger, we reserve the rights to include your data, including personal data, among the assets transferred to the acquiring or surviving company.

5. Update or correct your personal data

We provide a framework to control and manage the personal data we hold on you, including the ability to:

  • Deleting data: You can ask us to delete all or some of your personal data (e.g. if it is no longer necessary to provide you with Services).
